About Jonathan Kwaku Baiden

Jonathan has years of experience ranging from child welfare, community-based social work, clinical & behavioral therapy, supervised visitation facilitation, clinical management, and even outpatient administration for mental health (OMHC). Jonathan utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing as therapeutic approaches. Jonathan has also worked extensively with adolescents, men, women, families, and couples in capacities such as a case manager, supervised visitation facilitator, and a clinical therapist. He has also specialized in men’s issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, conflict resolution, self-esteem/ self-worth issues, and grief support. Prior to opening his own practice, he trained in Crisis Intervention and de-escalation strategies where he worked with men, women, and children to effectively solve life’s challenges. Since obtaining his Master’s Degree and Clinical Supervision License, Jonathan has also helped several individuals and families recognize and cope with terminal illnesses.

Education & Training:

Jonathan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned his master’s degree in social work with an emphasis in leadership from Indiana University School of Social Work in 2015. He also graduated from the Indiana University School of Social Work with a bachelor’s degree in 2014.

Credentials:

Jonathan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland, and Washington D.C., and a Board Approved Supervisor. Furthermore, Jonathan is a Certified Family Mediator, and a Certified Supervised Visitation Facilitator.

Personal Interests:

Jonathan has two sisters and is engaged to his lovely fiancée Jaynell since the summer of 2022. He is a resident of Prince George’s County, MD. Jonathan enjoys all sports, but his favorite is soccer, which he frequently watches and plays with colleagues. Juventus F.C. has been his childhood favorite professional soccer team in Italy. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, going on trips, listening to music, particularly Afrobeat’s, Classical, Reggae, and listening to podcasts.
